Behavior Plans
For my classroom, I utilize Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as well as behavior plans when a student is having difficulty with a particular behavior. Behavior plans are useful because the student is actively involved in the process of changing their behavior. I welcome parent/ guardian participation in the behavior change process, but it is important to have the child be the main participant, because they are ultimately the person who has to do the changing. The student and I will complete a behavioral contract to help the student as well as agree upon on a reward. This contract will then be sent home to be signed and returned by a parent/ guardian.
Data Keeping
I will be recording and charting the behavior in a graph. Here's an example of the tool, I will be implementing to help chart the data.
