Armstrong serves 600+ students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. The school offers multi-grade and single grade classroom options from first through sixth grade.

Through the school improvement process, Armstrong continuously strives to improve student achievement in all academic areas and for all students. Literacy instruction is a primary focus at Armstrong School. We offer a balanced literacy program and encourage student growth in the areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our Everyday Mathematics program builds on fundamental mathematical concepts to help students solve problems and become mathematically literate. We introduce students to a wide range of technology resources that are integrated into their everyday curriculum. Each grade level team at Armstrong School has a structured block of time, which ensures that students receive targeted daily instruction in their area of specific need.

The Armstrong staff and community support the educational success of all students with programs and activities such as PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports), Student Council, Field Day, Festival of the Arts, DARE, Lunch Reading Club, Sixth Grade Chorus among others.Armstrong is a fully restructured school that supports special needs students and bilingual students in the regular classroom. A full continuum of special and bilingual services is available to students in District 54.

Our school is named after Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon.
